It stands as a tangible manifestation of human presence, social relationships, culture, and customs. However, in the contemporary era, the profound concepts and essences of human dwelling, which originate from the rich architectural heritage of this land, have been largely neglected and forgotten. This research aims to meticulously examine the meaning and concept of the home and to recognize the values and meanings that constitute its essence and form. It undertakes a comparative study of non-Iranian, Iranian, and Islamic perspectives surrounding this concept.</p> <p>This paper adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Data was collected through library and documentary studies, including the review of theoretical texts, scholarly articles, and books related to traditional and contemporary architecture, as well as a qualitative content analysis of various definitions and theories about the concept of home. Subsequently, using a comparative approach, the desirable characteristics and qualities of traditional Iranian houses were examined in contrast to the features of contemporary housing.</p> <p>The findings of this research indicate that the spiritual principles governing the architecture of traditional homes, which are deeply rooted in indigenous culture and values, can still serve as fundamental and guiding foundations in the design and construction of modern dwellings. This approach can provide a more comprehensive response to the biological, social, and cultural needs of residents.</p> <p>خانه فراتر از یک سرپناه، به مثابه یک "نیاز زیستی" است که عمیقاً در بافت اجتماعی و فرهنگی بشر ریشه دوانده و نمود عینی حضور انسان، روابط اجتماعی، فرهنگ و آداب و رسوم را در خود جای داده است. با این وجود، در دوران معاصر، مفاهیم و جوهره های پنهان سکونت انسان، که نشأت گرفته از معماری غنی گذشته این سرزمین است، تا حد زیادی مورد غفلت و فراموشی قرار گرفته­اند.<br />این پژوهش با هدف تدقیق در معنا و مفهوم خانه و بازشناسی ارزشها و معانی تشکیل دهنده چیستی و چگونگی آن، به بررسی تطبیقی اندیشه های غیرایرانی، ایرانی و اسلامی پیرامون این مفهوم می­پردازد.</p> <p>این مقاله، با رویکردی کیفی و از نوع توصیفی- تحلیلی است. داده ها از طریق مطالعات کتابخانه ای و اسنادی، شامل بررسی متون نظری، مقالات علمی و کتب مرتبط با معماری سنتی و معاصر، و همچنین تحلیل محتوای کیفی تعاریف و نظریه های مختلف پیرامون مفهوم خانه، جمع آوری شده اند. سپس، با استفاده از رویکرد تطبیقی، ویژگیها و کیفیتهای مطلوب خانه های سنتی ایرانی در تقابل با ویژگیهای مسکن معاصر مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است.</p> <p>نتایج این پژوهش نشان می دهد که اصول معنوی حاکم بر معماری خانه های سنتی، که عمیقاً ریشه در فرهنگ و ارزشهای بومی دارند، همچنان می­توانند به عنوان بنیان­های اساسی و راهگشا در طراحی و ساخت مساکن امروزی مورد توجه قرار گیرند تا پاسخی جامع­تر به نیازهای زیستی، اجتماعی و فرهنگی ساکنان ارائه دهند.</p> https://lagdj.com/index.php/lagdj/article/download/11/20
